Anywhere Anyhow Anytime

In this age of rapid developing technology, it is common to be located almost anywhere in the world and be able to receive a message by telephone, through the Internet, by cell phone, or by wireless communications. Most of us expect to have access to instant communication regardless of the circumstances. Yet despite this access to technology and communications, people tend to be distant from one another. We may send numerous text messages, receive nothing in return, but another text message, which may or may not be an adequate response to the original message. Thus the cycle of messaging continues for what can seem to be an endless stream of messages, ending in no concrete conclusion.

Despite all of these communication facilities, when a person wants to meet with an important official, contact his political representative, or gain critical information from a government bureaucrat, all the technology in the world is useless. The doors to influence are often closed. Oh, the politicians are visible and available to be seen and heard pontificating at election times, but seldom, if ever, do they really want to hear what the individual citizen wants to discuss.  Thus, though the world possesses anywhere, anyhow, anytime communications vehicles, these technologies only matter if the parties possessing them are willing to be accessible. In today’s environment this willingness to be accessible is seldom exhibited. More often than not, the sound at the end of the communications line is silence, a condescending reply, or obstruction.

But there is one area where we can be assured that we will be heard, listened to with interest, and answered. Yes, we will receive an answer, anywhere, anyhow, anytime, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, and 365 days a year. We may not like the answer we receive. But an answer we will get!  Ok, to whom will we have this complete access and from whom will we receive a response?  It is God!

God places no limitations on our communication with Him. Matter of fact, He encourages us to frequently talk with him…. notice talk with Him, not to Him. Can you name any other being with whom access is available and welcomed on an anytime, anywhere, anyhow basis? Certainly not our politicians! Not even our loved ones are so readily accessible.

Now the crucial question surfaces, “Why don’t we talk with our accessible, caring God more often”?  Why?

  1. Brothers & Sisters = I LOVED that quote:” An atheist can’t find G-D for the same reason that a crook can’t find a police officer.”
